There\u2019s a lot of talk going around concerning the end of the world.\u00a0 This new dooms day prediction of the end of the world is based on the Mayan Calendar.\u00a0\u00a0 The Mayan calendar ends on Dec. 21, 2012; therefore some are predicting that the world will end on that day.\u00a0 This is the same as date setting, but Jesus specifically said that no one knows the date of the end of the world;\u00a0 Mt.24:36, \u201c\u2026..of that day and hour knoweth no man<\/em>, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.\u201d\u00a0 \u00a0We must bear in mind that date setting is a common practice.\u00a0 Here is a website that lists some already past and future predictions; http:\/\/www.bible.ca\/pre-date-setters.htm<\/a>.\u00a0 Here is something to consider, if the world is ending on December 21 2012 at the end of the Mayan calendar, then this nullifies the theories of the Pre-tribulationist and Mid-tribulationists.\u00a0\u00a0 Pre-tribulationists believe that the rapture will take place 7 years before the end of this age and the Mid-tribulationists believe that the rapture will take place 3 1\/2 years before the end of this age.\u00a0 If 12\/21\/2012 is in fact the end of the world and you are reading this article, then both of these theories fail, because it is less than 3 \u00bd years to the end of the Mayan calendar.<\/p>\n
