The question is often asked, will the people that live during the millennium period, live forever or will they die? There will be two groups that are living during the millennium period.\u00a0The first group will be the saints or those who receive spiritual or immortal bodies at the return of Christ; 1 Cor. 15:54, \u201c\u2026when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.\u201d\u00a0The second group will be those who are left behind in their mortal or fleshly bodies at Christ\u2019s return; Mt. 24:40-41, \u201cthen shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two\u00a0women shall be<\/em>\u00a0grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.\u201d<\/p>\n

Both groups will live in the millennium period, but only the saints will enjoy immunity from death. By definition alone, the individuals that are left behind will remain in a mortal body, meaning they are still subject to death. There lives will be prolonged, due to the fact that they will have miracle medicines readily available; Rev. 22:2, \u201c\u2026and on either side of the river,\u00a0was there<\/em>\u00a0the tree of life\u2026 and the leaves of the tree\u00a0were<\/em>\u00a0for the healing of the nations.\u201d The fruit from the tree of life is what causes an individual to live forever; Gen. 3:22, \u201c\u2026the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever.\u201d The saints will have access to the fruit from the tree of life, but the ones left behind will only have access to the leaves from the tree of life. The leaves from the tree of life promote healing, but the ones left behind are still trapped in a mortal body, meaning death is inevitable. The leaves from the tree of life will render premature death to be a thing of the past, but it will not alter the mortal status of an individual. Those left behind will live longer than society\u2019s normal life expectancy, but will eventually succumb to death; Is. 65:20, \u201cthere shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner\u00a0being<\/em>\u00a0an hundred years old shall be accursed.\u201d They will be left behind for a reason; they had not repented when Christ returned. For that reason, they will still be subject to the curse of the Law of sin and death because of Adam\u2019s sin; Rom. 5:12, \u201cwherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.\u201d<\/p>\n
