Babylon
This is the final earthly kingdom of mankind. It is headquarters of Anti-Christ and it will introduce the greatest tribulation that will ever be administered here on earth by mankind. Although it will be one of the most powerful kingdoms on earth, it will ultimately fail.
Bottomless pit
The Bottomless Pit is a place where Satan will be bound for a thousand years. While Satan is in the Bottomless Pit, he will not have any deceptive authority over the inhabitants of the earth.
Great City
There are two different cities in the book of Revelation referred to as the great city. One of those cities is Jerusalem and it is referenced as the city where our Lord was crucified. The other great city is Babylon and it is referenced by that name, that great city Babylon.
Heaven
Heaven is the place where God’s throne is located. This is the place where the resurrected saints will dwell with God.
Hell
Normally hell is thoughts of as a place of torment. That’s partially true, but the real meaning of ‘hell’ is the grave or the place that receives departed souls. Actually death and hell can be likened to ‘hand in glove’. Hell is not the final place of torment, because hell along with death will eventually be thrown into the Lake of Fire.
Lake of Fire
The Lake of Fire is a retirement home of eternal punishment for all unrighteous beings. In the end, death and hell will also be contained in the Lake of Fire.
New Earth
The phrase “new earth’ can be misleading. Throughout the Bible, scripture tells us that this earth will never be destroyed. Because this earth will never be destroyed, then how can we get a new earth? This earth will be remodeled or renovated. During the End-time events, there will be earthquakes that move mountains and seas. Also during the time, Satan will be bound so there is no more deception on earth. This will be a time of peace, so it is appropriate to say we live on a new earth.
New Heaven
The phrase ‘new heaven’ can be misleading. If God resides in heaven, then it is already perfect. Heaven will be the same heaven, but after the return of Christ, it has new residents. In that sense, it can be called a new heaven.
New Jerusalem
New Jerusalem is the Bride of Christ. Christ is the head but it is not complete without it’s body, just as the Body of Christ is not complete without the head. Christ plus the Body of Christ is the groom and the Bride is New Jerusalem. New Jerusalem is the city where Jesus and the Body of Christ will reside forever.
Patmos
Patmos is an island off the coast of modern day Turkey. It is the island where John received and wrote the book of Revelation.
