What are the seven spirits of God?

The seven spirits of God are sent throughout the world, Rev. 5:6. “…which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.”  The seven spirits of God are also the seven lamps of fire; Rev. 4:5, “…burning before the throne…” The seven lamps of fire are synonymous with the seven candlesticks, and the purpose of candlesticks is to provide light.. The seven candlesticks are the seven churches, Rev. 1:20, “…the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.” The purpose of the churches is to go out into the earth to provide light in a world full of darkness; therefore the seven spirits of God are the seven churches.
